In April 2024, Misingi and the local committee in Endallah decided not to start any new projects,
but to continue to provide structural support for projects that had been completed in the past.
For the water pillar, this is the Maji project, which ran from October 2016 to February 2019.

The last period saw extraordinary rainfall, even more than the extreme rainfall in 2019.
Roads were washed away and rivers were literally 10 times their normal width.
The force of the water broke many water pipes. These were temporarily repaired as a stopgap measure.
At a later stage, a more robust and permanent solution will be put in place,
including concrete pillars and flexible steel wire.
Damage to roads and water pipes – Widening of rivers:
Temporary emergency fix:
After review against the mission/vision
Total price: 4.500 EUR

The local committee will determine the distribution key for the 5 projects.
The local committee is working on the project proposals with deadline on 15/08.
Roger & Barbara meet the committee on site.
